Great Harbour Deep Adventure

Great Harbour Deep Adventure

Experience this full 2 day snowmobile backcountry adventure. Departing Taylor’s Brook Road, follow the groomed trail to Jackson’s Arm then head into Catarm reservoir. Cross country adventure really begins at the end of the Catarm reservoir.  Follow your guide across landscape carved by ancient glaciers, leaving only barron rolling hills and rivers. Terrain that will leave you in awe!

Your guide will follow long travelled routes leading through valleys, river basins and creek beds until you reach the other side of the Great Northern Peninsula and head towards the Atlantic Ocean.

Stopping along the way to take in the amazing views of the open landscape and lunch up at the old hunting camps used for years by the locals.

After a full day of riding and exploring, searching for wildlife such as moose and caribou you finally make your descent into Great Harbour Deep. A small quaint fishing village long since abandoned. Now housing a B&B that is operated by Bob Pittman and his wife during the summer and fall months to help support the thriving fishing and hunting business as well as the few local fisherman who still consider this home.  The Danny Corcoran Lodge offers all the amenities of home in a remote and isolated resettled community. Resettled in 2002, GHD offers a snowmobilers paradise, peacefully eiery feeling.  The abandoned homes, now rundown and showing their weathered age still offer a look into the past.  Surrounded by steep cliffs, and a days ride from anywhere GHD is truly isolated.  This really hits home when you pass through the Snowy Glutch and over the barrens on the way to GHD.

Make your snowmobiling dreams come true and experience the Great Harbour Deep Adventure and the Danny Corcoran Lodge.

PRICE based on 2 person group, 2 snowmobile rentals (2days), guide services (2 days), and accommodations (1 nights, including guide expenses) $1,475.00+ taxes & fuel.
